YAY.....so glad you are here visiting us! We are super excited to pump you full of information and give you a good insight into our lovely Company. So here is the low-down on Sweet August Events. Sweet August made its debut in January of 2011 and honestly has morphed into something bigger than we ever thought possible. What does that mean exactly??? Well we have grown SAE into a full service/design company that has a team of people….an amazing team, I might add. In the last 13 years we have really challenged ourselves to stay authentic and honest. Below are the truest things I know about us:
Our design is top notch and we try to push the envelope every wedding.
We are the best listeners and advice givers…we might be therapists.
Our trouble shooting and problem solving skills are ridiculously SHARP.
We love to laugh and hug with our clients.
Our long lasting relationships within the industry have allowed us to help save our clients money.
We work so hard and like alllll the time.
Katherine Lopez
OWNER + CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Katherine has always been inspired by her mother's honest and sincere ability to serve others. Her mother taught her to serve others before yourself and always, always be kind. This concept has definitely been the TRUE inspiration to Sweet August Events. Katherine's sheer tenacity, leadership, dedication, humble heart and love for all things beautiful (she tends to find beauty in everything) has not only built a company that she loves but has built a dream team in the Event Industry.
Katherine has transitioned to overseeing all aspects of SAE and making sure EVERY event is unique and up to SAE standards.
Brittany Casey
SENIOR CONSULTANT + DESIGNER
Brittany’s arrival started when she was our bride but we didn’t know it yet. Her trusting in Janell and building a relationship allowed us to know years later that she would be a great fit. We believe there are no accidents and I know Brittany is going to make huge impact at Sweet August, and really already has. She is calculated, methodical, and detailed. She is a wife and mommy to sweet little Beau. She is passionate about God, processes and anything that makes her think!
Danielle Shedd
SENIOR CONSULTANT + DESIGNER
When Danielle arrived at Sweet August, she shifted from bride to consultant in no time. Coming from a background of planning and hospitality, she easily made a connection with Katherine which made the transition seamless. She is a strong addition to our team bringing her own unique background and skill set. She is thorough, organized, and a creative problem solver. She is a wife and momma to their three fur babies Marcus, Coco and Amelia. She is passionate about God and brings concepts to life while enjoying the journey along the way.
Amber Morrill
SENIOR CONSULTANT + DESIGNER
Amber fell in love with the wedding industry when she was a bride herself. She continued her love of weddings as a wedding planner in Houston, Texas and started her own calligraphy business. She is creative, meticulous, kind-hearted and reliable. She is a caring wife, loving mother to three-year-old Thomas, and a dog-mom to Holly. She is passionate about time spent with family, designing the details, and uplifting others.
Zoey Cola
SENIOR CONSULTANT + DESIGNER
Over the years, Zoey has worked in different areas of the wedding industry in both San Antonio and in Los Angeles. She decided to return to Texas and continue with her love of event design and planning. Zoey is so fun, kind, meticulous about the details, creative, and hard- working. Zoey is a graduate of Texas State University, is a proud aunt to her mini besties, and she loves to travel and go to concerts in her spare time.
